Historical Cats - 1929 Black Persian cat

In 1929, Mrs. Yeates Champion 'Sally Cat' won the championship and 1st prize in the black female long-haired cat class at the National Cat Clubs Champion show at Chrystal Palace, UK.
'Long-hair' was used in the UK for what are now called Persians. The term was used up until the 1970's.

I like the resemblance to Cute & Classic Viggo. Preserving the original Persian cat - as a healthy and sweet cat, then refining details in type have always been paramount for me. I do not think it serves the breed or the cats when breed characteristics become breed caricatures. Or when changes in type happen quickly.
